Education

  • Our education focus is to provide an opportunity for students seeking to become teachers, to get "real-world experience" working in a classroom setting as a teachers aide.  We have 3 categories of education teams as follows:

  1. Primary School teams will work in a school setting where they will have an opportunity to work with children from the age of 4-8, or 9-13. This type of experience can be carried out in rural or urban schools.
  2. High School teams will work with freshmen from High School to Senior High School. Normally this type of experience takes place in the morning from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  3. College teams In this particular project the experience is even greater since the type of teaching practice will be more focused on a specific class. For example: Math, Science, English Language as a class and others.

  • Our goal is to help improve the lives of families in low-income areas, especially those with children, extended family, and those with disabilities.
  • This program will allows us the opportunity to work with community members to collaborate on a variety of projects to include, but are not limited to:

  1. Home construction from the ground up!
  2. House repairs to include painting, plumbing, electrical work, etc.
  3. Gardening and irrigation

  5. Trash cleanup and recycling projects

  • Construction, electrical, or home repair skills are not needed to apply ... just a willingness to make a difference in the lives of a community

Eco-Tourism

Homes for Life - Community Building

Homes for Life - Community Building

  • A country defined by its lakes and volcanoes, abuzz with rich coffee harvests and influenced by the traditions of its indigenous peoples, Nicaragua is the ideal location for travelers interested in ecotourism.
  • Thanks to its mountainous landscapes, cloud forests teeming with wildlife, and Caribbean oceanic vistas, the term ecotourism takes on many forms here.
  • Aspects of Ecotourism will be incorporated into all programs and will be facilitated by Nica Bike Ecotours Company. Students will be introduced to some of the most enchanting opportunities to include physical and cultural activities that will give them a better appreciation of "the land of lakes and volcanoes".
